Springtails will be sent in a 8 oz. Container. Our isopods are harvested and packaged the same day they are shipped so as to guarantee a healthy live arrival. Once harvested, isopods are placed in an 8 or 16 oz. deli container filled with moist paper towel. Porcellio, laevis (Dairy Cow) isopods are a great addition to your terrarium/vivarium ecosystem. They clean their environment by consuming leaf litter, animal feces, and dead plant matter. The waste created by the Dairy Cow Isopods is a valuable source of nutrients for your plants. They are normally on the surface and are fun to watch as they work to clean your pets living space. Dairy Cows are one of the larger isopod available today ranging in size from 1/2" to 3/4". Dairy Cows are omnivores and have a appetite for decaying vegetation and the high protein found in animal fesses. They're safe to add to any reptile, amphibian, arachnid, or snake habitat as they will not harm or affect the behavior of the animal in any way. Given their size, most dart frogs are unable to consume them which make them a great choice for dart frog vivarium's. Color: Black and white Size: 1/2 - 3/4 in.
